Abstract:
ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between mental health and personality of parents-absent children and to provide evidence for mental health counseling.
MethodsAdopting Mental Health Test(MHT)and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire,we surveyed 412 students from 4 middle school and primary school in Jiangxi Province,and SPSS 11.5 software was used in statistical analysis.
ResultsThere was no significant difference in general mental health between parents-absent children and normal children.The scores of MHT and learning anxiety were 39.52 and 8.51 respectively,the masculine picking out rate of learning anxiety was 70.20%.The scores of psychoticism,introversion-extroversion and lie of parents-absent children were significantly lower than the common.The scores of neuroticism of female parents-absent children were significantly higher than the common.There was a significant correlation between the scores of MHT and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire.
ConclusionThe relationship between mental health and personality of parents-absent children is very significant.
